From Monturiol Apartments to any part of Barcelona
Monturiol Apartments is an excellent starting point for exploring the fascinating corners and iconic places of Barcelona. The city is very well connected, and you can go anywhere by taxi, metro, bus, or railways. The closest metro stops to the apartments are the red line L1 at Clot and the purple line L2 at Bac de Roda. We suggest several emblematic and interesting places to visit in the city such as the Sagrada Família, Casa Batlló, Casa Milà, Ciutat Vella, Picasso Museum, Montjuïc, Park Güell, Tibidabo, and the Bunkers del Carmelo, Arc de Triomf, and Parc de la Ciutadella. Generally, the city is very safe, but remember to keep an eye on your belongings, especially in the city center and metro.

ROUTE 2
From Rambla de Poblenou to Bogatell Beach
From Monturiol Apartments, we head out on foot towards the authentic and captivating Rambla del Poblenou. A path that takes us through picturesque streets lined with charming shops and cafes, offering an authentic glimpse into the local life of Barcelona, ideal for strolling or sitting at a terrace to eat, have a drink, read a book, chat, or simply delight in the atmosphere and authenticity of this bohemian Barcelona neighborhood.
One of our favorite restaurants is La Yaya de Poblenou, located at Rambla del Poblenou, 142. This charming establishment specializes in paellas and Mediterranean cuisine, delighting diners with a delicious selection of authentic dishes. Its terrace offers a cozy and relaxed atmosphere, perfect for enjoying an outdoor meal while absorbing the energy of the street. In addition, the prices are very attractive in relation to the quality of the food, making it an excellent choice for a memorable gastronomic experience.
Continuing our journey along Rambla del Poblenou, we arrive at the second recommended destination, the restaurant L’Aliança, located at Rambla del Poblenou, 42. This charming venue offers a culinary experience focused on homemade food, with comforting dishes that evoke the essence of traditional cuisine.
After enjoying a delicious meal at one of these restaurants, we continue our route towards Bogatell Beach. Upon arriving at the beach, we are greeted by the gentle waves of the Mediterranean Sea and the refreshing breeze, creating the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the coastal landscape on a beach equipped for swimming with beach bars and all kinds of services. Remember to protect yourself from the sun in summer! It takes about 30 minutes to walk from Monturiol Apartments to the beach.
ROUTE 3
The Sagrada Família
Just a 25-minute walk from Monturiol Apartments, you’ll find the majestic and imposing Sagrada Família, designed by the renowned architect Antoni Gaudí, the foremost representative of Catalan modernism.
But if walking isn’t your thing, you can also reach the basilica with the purple metro line L2 at Bac de Roda stop; the journey takes 16 minutes.

ROUTE 4
Near Monturiol Apartments
Very close to Monturiol Apartments, you also have the Wesfield Glòries Shopping Center. If you’re into shopping, here you’ll find all kinds of shops and brands, several cinemas, and a wide variety of places to eat. A little further ahead, but also within walking distance of the apartments, is the emblematic 144-meter-high skyscraper known as the Torre Glòries, with privileged views of the entire city. Next to the building is the Disseny Hub Barcelona library and museum, with rotating exhibitions. Take advantage of your time in this area and visit the Gran Clariana urban park, with a walking trail where locals find a place to rest and relax.
Lastly, I want to mention that just 10 minutes from Monturiol Apartments is the Clot Market, inaugurated in 1889, where you’ll find top-quality goods to cook in your apartment.
